About Dave

Born and raised among the wide-open landscapes of North Texas, Dave Wilcox carries the legacy of a fourth-generation Texan landowner. Growing up in a family rooted in cattle ranching and cotton farming gave him an early appreciation for the connection people feel when they pursue owning a piece of the Lone Star State.

After earning his degree from Baylor University, Dave entered the professional world with a recruitment firm, where he developed his negotiation skills and built a reputation for working to secure fair and equitable deals for his clients. He later formed partnerships with landowners and fellow hunting enthusiasts, managing ranches in the outfitting and hunting sector across South Texas. That hands-on experience, combined with his family’s ranching background, gave him a practical understanding of the recreational and hunting ranch market.

San Antonio and South Texas have long held a special place in Dave’s heart, and it is there that he and his wife, Jessica, have made their home. Conversations about Jesus, baseball or hunting Sonoran Mexico mule deer come naturally to him, but ranches are where his focus sharpens. Dave is committed to understanding each client’s goals and helping them find the right property.

Since 2006, Dave has led multiple teams under different brokerage firms throughout the South Texas region. His career has remained centered on working alongside fellow brokers and agents while helping connect clients with the properties that best fit their needs.

In his role as Chief Operations Officer at Texas Ranch Sales, LLC, Dave oversees recruiting, agent development and the day-to-day operations of the field sales force. He is passionate about helping others succeed and finds particular satisfaction in guiding teams and clients through complex transactions.
