About Stoney

Michael S. “Stoney” Petit II brings over two decades of expertise in business development, residential construction, and land investment to his role at Texas Ranch Sales. With a commitment to hard work and a deep understanding of how to maximize investment opportunities, Stoney provides an elevated level of representation for clients seeking recreational property and land development.

Stoney’s journey began in 2001 when he joined an owner/operator custom homebuilding business as the sole full-time employee. After spending seven years learning the ins and outs of high-end residential construction, Stoney took over the business in 2010, transforming it into a scalable enterprise with over 20 employees. His business, Anderson Homes (AndersonCustomHomeBuilder.com), became a market leader in luxury custom homes, known for high-performance, beautifully crafted residences.

As Stoney’s business thrived, he expanded his expertise to include extensive site development, building homes on acreage and overseeing infrastructure installation. Despite his success in homebuilding, Stoney never lost sight of his passion for the outdoors, a love that began with hunting and fishing trips with his family. This passion ultimately led him to explore land ownership and investment.

In 2016, Stoney and his wife, Ellen, purchased a 20-acre property in the country, where they developed a cattle operation and built their dream home. The house features reclaimed brick and antique pine trim from a 130-year-old building in downtown Beaumont, which Stoney had initially purchased as an investment before selling the lot for a profit. Over the past few years, Stoney and Ellen have continued to invest in rural properties and commercial buildings, expanding their real estate portfolio.

Now a licensed real estate agent with Texas Ranch Sales, Stoney combines his business acumen, passion for land, and deep knowledge of property development to help investors maximize their investment potential, particularly in the realms of ranching, hunting, and fishing.

"Stoney and Caleb…It’s a wrap…closed this morning in less than 15 minutes…everything was all organized due to them getting all documents to us ahead of time so any corrections could be made.

Caleb so glad we told you not to come to closing and spent the day driving to and from Austin for a 15 minute close. It went smooth with Sutton Land of Texas because you and I did our homework!

Caleb you kept the stuff coming to us so we could address and fix things like the mobile home conveyance etc…and did a great job being able to handle both sides of the deal where each side felt satisfied.

Thanks Stoney for taking this little “ranchette” under contract when I know that’s not the focus of TRS and for hooking us up with Caleb. Caleb treated us like he was dealing with a 300 acre tract rather than a 3 acre tract with his attention to detail.
